Marr Family Dentistry in Greeley Co offers dental bridges for patients missing teeth. A dental bridge is commonly used to replace one tooth and multiple, consecutive missing teeth. A dental bridge can be fixed to adjacent teeth for support or secured to dental implants for a permanent dental restoration.
Dr. Marr typically recommends choosing an implant supported dental bridge for their long term oral health benefits, although traditional dental bridges can provide a more economical alternative.
Dental bridges are made from porcelain that is fused to a metal bracket. The high-quality porcelain can be color matched and shaped to match surrounding teeth. Bridges are made to match your natural smile for a seamless and beautiful result.
Benefits of Fixed Dental Implant Bridges
Replacing missing teeth is essential to support long-term oral health and prevent further damage to the gums, teeth, and jaw. Dental implants are the most natural and secure way to replace missing teeth. Implants act as a prosthetic root system, helping stabilize your bite and promote natural bone regeneration.
Fixed dental implant bridges offer many oral health benefits:
Replace missing teeth
Do not damage adjacent healthy teeth

Restore natural appearance and function of smile

Dental Bridge What to Expect
To determine which missing tooth replacement options are best suited to restore your smile, Dr. Marr will conduct a thorough oral health exam. Dr. Marr will analyze your current oral health, the number, size, and location of your missing teeth, as well as spend time with you to discuss your budget and goals.
A traditional fixed dental bridge restoration will require 2 or more visits to our Greeley, CO dentist office. Your anchor teeth will be prepared by removing a specific amount of tooth enamel to make room for the dental crown. Once the teeth are prepared a mold is taken of the space and will be used to create your custom fabricated dental restoration.
Dr. Marr works with a dental laboratory to create dental restorations that are highly durable, natural looking and long lasting. Once the restoration is fabricated, you will come back to the office so that it can be adjusted and fit to the anchor teeth.
Implant Supported Bridge Process
If you choose to use dental implants to secure your dental bridge, an appointment will be scheduled for the implant surgery. Dr. Marr’s dental staff will coordinate with an oral surgeon for your implant placement procedure. After surgery, it will take about three to six months for the implants to fuse with the surrounding bone and the gums to heal. This healing period is the longest portion of the implant process. You may be fitted for a temporary restoration while your implants are healing.
Once healed, you will return to our Greeley, CO dentist office where we will take impressions of your teeth that will be used for the creation of your permanent restoration. Dr. Marr will work with a dental laboratory to create a custom bridge that will fit perfectly and blend in naturally with your surrounding natural teeth. After about two to three weeks the dental bridge will be permanently fixed to the implants.
